Dues can be mailed to our post office box.

How can I pay my dues with a credit or debit card?
We are currently having difficulties with our PayPal account due to the IRS regulations for non-profit organizations. We are unable to accept credit or debit card payments at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I’m new to Kansas City, what do I need to do to become more involved?
There are numerous groups within the alumnae club that any sister is welcome to join. Each group sets their own activity based on those who attend. We also have a variety of events throughout the year. Sisters are welcome to attend one or all the activities and events based on their own schedules and availability. To find out more about each group and events, scroll down. We look forward to seeing you!

What groups can I become involved with as an alumnae?
Junior Circle / Night Group ~ Junior Circle enjoys monthly dinners and happy hours around the metro. There is a vast amount of choices and a restaurant has never been dined at twice. This lively group continues to be a sister favorite!
Day Group ~ Day Group typically meets once a month during the day to have lunch and attend various events and tours unique attractions around the metro. In the past, Day Group has lunched at Ophelia’s, learned how to make candles, toured Leila’s Hair Museum, shopped at Briarcliff Village and so much more.

What type of events does GKCAC hold?
Chocolate Bliss & Have a Heart Day ~ Chocolate Bliss remains one of our favorite events of the year! As our yearly Valentine’s Day event, we meet at a sisters home where everyone brings a favorite chocolate dessert to share and recipe copies if it is homemade. There is a minimal free-will donation and proceeds go to the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation. We also make Valentine Cards for a local charity, such as Children’s Mercy.
International Reunion Day (IRD) ~ Each year we celebrate our sisterhood along with the rest of the Fraternity nationwide at International Reunion Day. Occasionally, we venture out and try something new or hold a co-IRD with another alumnae or collegiate chapter.
Alpha Gam Always Barbecue ~ Each summer, we gather at a sisters home to celebrate sisterhood. We enjoy a wonderful Barbecue buffet and awards are given to various sisters. We also have our annual Basket Auction. Sisters donate baskets of goodies and we hold a silent auction and the highest bidder takes the basket. Past baskets have included Scrapbooking, AGD Squirrels, Tastefully Simple, Dog Lovers Dream and so many more.
Bulb Sale ~ Each fall we hold our annual bulb sale which has turned into a tradition for many of our loyal sisters and shoppers. We secure a loaded trailer filled with thousands of bulbs. What an array of color and selection! Shoppers fill an entire box full of bulbs for a fabulously low price.
Holiday Kick-off Party ~ In November or December, we gather to celebrate sisterhood and the holiday season. Each year, we choose a local charity to make donations to. In the past, we contributed new or gently used books to the Hooked on Books program. We have also made contributions to the Ronald McDonald House for families with children who require a long-term stay in the hospital.
Designer Showhouse ~ GKCAC hosts a private showing during the Junior Women’s Symphony Alliance Designer’s Showhouse. An old home, rich in grandeur, is transformed by local designers then opened them private and public viewing. This is an evening where only Alpha Gam members and their guests may tour the home. After the tour, we dine on appetizers and beverages under a canopy tent.
Walk for a Cure ~ Each year, our members participate in the local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk for a Cure. Donations were solicited among club members at our annual Alpha Gam Always barbecue for the philanthropy. Some members also participate by walking laps. Local collegiate chapters also participate in the walk.
